The space
The covered terrace is where this house earns its keep — garden furniture, a built-in BBQ and views over the garden make it the natural spot for long outdoor lunches. Ground floor — an open-plan kitchen (fridge-freezer, oven, gas hob, extractor) leads to a dining table for six and a breakfast bar with four stools, alongside a living room built around a large sectional sofa and the TV; a bathroom with a walk-in shower doubles as the laundry room. Upstairs — a bedroom with panoramic corner windows framing the village and a sea glimpse; a double bedroom with its own air conditioning and ensuite (walk-in shower, toilet, bidet); a second double bedroom; a twin bedroom (two single beds) with a fitted wardrobe; and a bunk bedroom for younger guests.

The neighbourhood
Punta Negra is a quiet coastal village in Maldonado built around one of the area's known surf breaks, 400 m from the house. Within walking distance you'll find Aquel Abrazo, Pizzanta and La Chirca for dinner, and Autoservicio Punta Negra (300 m) for everyday shopping. Piriápolis, with a wider choice of restaurants and shops, is 7 km away.
Other things to note
The house has no lift: all five bedrooms and one of the two bathrooms are upstairs, reached by an internal staircase — worth knowing if you're travelling with heavy luggage or have limited mobility. Driving from Punta del Este airport, follow the coast road towards Piriápolis to reach Punta Negra (around 15 km).
Getting around
There's no public transport on this stretch of coast, so a car is the practical way to get around and explore beyond the village. Punta del Este International Airport (PDP) is a 15 km drive away.
